Comet Superlite (2010-LEXI)
|
Specs:
Notes: This finish is impossible to capture with photography. It is 100x better in person. It plays amazing and has been plek'd. The tone of this guitar is great. It is woody but yet very modern. When you think of ash, you think Strat, but this is a different animal. It has a great round bass that is alive and bouncy, and an even EQ response all the way up through the high end. It is the first batch of super lightweight Ash guitars we've produced and what a surprise. The Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard really brings out the best. Features a really cool carbon fiber headstock in addition. This guitar is just so fun, you just can't help but be inspired. |
Swamp Ash T style body (out of spec) |
We build partscaster stuff for other companies and occassionaly have bodies that are out of spec. Right now, we have 2 Tele bodies of premium 2 piece Swamp Ash that were run, but are a tad thinner than standard (1.650" - 1.75"). One is 3.75 lbs. and the other 3.55 lbs. Both are clear and perfect for clear finish if you so desire. I can tell you that we have used this wood in previous guitars and it is proven amazing tone, so no risk there. Will match best with a maple board...the classic combination - just make sure the guard is black! Not drilled for Ferrules/Stringthrough's so you can use modern or vintage spec bridge, nor drilled for output jack, so you can use electrostatic/football/square...whatever you choose. Will need minor finish sanding. All pickup and neck routs are to spec and in the right location. Fit's a T pickguard perfect...no funkiness. We'll include a white or black 3 ply with the order - it's all we have in stock:( Pics on request (I'll post them soon) $160 (normally $290)...did I mention these are cut from the top shelf stuff? Literally, the best stuff you can get. We don't want to compete on price as there is a lot of competition in this space, but we'll match quality wood with anyone in the game. Air dried too. |
